Help Understanding your results

AI visibility

Use the AI visibility screen to see, prompt by prompt, whether the engines mention you and where.

AI visibility overview

This is the measurement table. Each row is one prompt — a question your customers might ask an AI assistant — and the columns show what happened when the engines were asked it.

Scans run weekly. The header tells you how many prompts are tracked and when the next scan is due.

Four tabs sit at the top: Prompts (the live set), Suggested, Archived, and AI engines. This page is about reading the results; adding and organizing prompts is on Prompts and topics, and choosing engines is on AI engines.

How to read the table

The columns are Mention rate, Position, AI engines, Topic, Status and Last scan.

Position is where you appear in the answer, and lower is better. Mention rate is how often you were mentioned at all across the samples for that prompt.

Sort with the Sort control — by mention rate, average position, last scan, or date added. The filter bar narrows by period (7, 30, 90 days or a custom range), by AI engine, and by free-text search.

Good to know Prompts that name a tracked brand — yours or a competitor’s — carry a Brand badge and are deliberately left out of the visibility numbers. Asking an engine about you almost guarantees it mentions you, so counting those would flatter the result. They’re still scanned and still readable; they don’t inflate the aggregate.

How to drill into one prompt

Click a row. The detail view has four tabs:

  • AI engine breakdown — the answer each engine gave, side by side.
  • Sources — which domains the engines cited for this prompt.
  • Trend — how this prompt has moved over time.
  • Competitors — who else appeared in these answers.

At the top sit the prompt’s own numbers: mention rate, average position, sentiment, and how many engines covered it.

Because each prompt is asked more than once per engine, you can switch between individual samples and between past scans — useful when one odd answer makes you doubt a number.

How to refresh a prompt now

Use Refresh on the row, or select several and use Refresh selected. That re-asks the engines immediately instead of waiting for the weekly scan.

Manual refreshes come out of a monthly allowance, so they’re for confirming a change you made a moment ago — not for watching a number.

Adding or editing a prompt does not trigger a scan. It’ll be picked up by the next scheduled one, or by a manual refresh.
