Report overview

The report is your audit written down: everything measured about your brand, as a document you can keep, print, or send to someone who doesn’t have an account.

It arrives by email when your first audit finishes, and you can generate a fresh one at any time from the Overview screen.

It’s long on purpose. The front explains what the audit is, the middle is your data, and the back is what to do next. If you only have five minutes, read the cover and then the recommendations at the end.

Two things to know before you start

These two are the reason the report is often hard to read, and nobody says them out loud.

Some slides explain, others measure. The opening slides — and a few in the middle — describe how AI search works and how the audit is done. They are identical in everybody’s report. Only the slides carrying your domain, your prompts and your competitors carry your data.

A slide marked “Sample for illustration only, not your data” is an example. It’s there to show you what a chart means before you meet your own. The example uses invented companies and invented numbers. If a figure on it makes no sense for your business, that’s because it isn’t your business.

If you read the opening as if it were about you, everything after it feels wrong. Read the cover, then skip to the first slide with your own domain on it.

How to read the cover

Under Audit summary for and Data as of, the cover carries a block headed What this report is based on. It is the sample size behind every number that follows, and it deserves thirty seconds.

What it saysWhat it means
N topics × N prompts × N samplesHow many questions were asked, and how many times each. Every prompt is asked several times per engine and the results averaged.
N scans in the report windowHow many complete measurement rounds this report covers. One scan means no trend, only a snapshot.
N site pages crawledHow much of your website the audit reached. If your plan’s limit was hit, this is smaller than your site.
N pages with a deep auditHow many pages were also rendered and analyzed in depth. Usually only the homepage on a first audit.
N competitors + N potentialHow many brands were measured alongside you, and how many were found but not yet tracked.
N mentions of your brand / N competitor mentionsHow many times each was named across all the answers collected.
N sources · N recommendationsHow many distinct domains the engines cited, and how many actions came out.

The number to weigh everything else against is prompts × samples. A report built on a handful of prompts describes those questions accurately — it does not describe your whole market. When a percentage later looks surprising, come back here before believing it.

The cover also carries a small overview — your site scores, the funnel, and where competitors are ahead — each with the slide number where the detail lives.

The rest of the report, part by part

Each page below covers one block of the report, in the order the slides appear:

  1. The opening slides — the explainer block, and how to tell it apart from your data.
  2. The site audit slides — your website through AI crawlers.
  3. Your business and your market — what AI understands about you, and how the category works.
  4. How you appear in AI answers — the funnel, every prompt, and the tone of what’s said.
  5. Sources, trackers and competitors — where the answers come from, and who’s ahead.
  6. The plan at the end — the recommendations and what to do with them.

Good to know Your report may be missing some of these. A slide is left out when there’s nothing to put on it — no competitors tracked, no site audit yet, no recommendations. A missing block is a gap in the data, not a fault in the report, and each page below says what makes its block appear.

What the report is not

It isn’t a ranking of your company. Every number describes how AI assistants answered a specific set of questions in a specific window. Change the questions and the numbers change, with nothing about your business having changed.

It isn’t a search-engine report. Some signals overlap with SEO, but this measures what assistants say, not where you rank in Google.

It isn’t live. It’s a snapshot with a date on the cover. The app is where the numbers move.
